When performing network activities such as data collection, you may encounter Cloudflare throttling, which may prevent network activities from proceeding normally. Learn the causes, solutions, and prevention methods of Cloudflare throttling to better deal with throttling.

Ⅰ. Possible reasons for being restricted by Cloudflare
1. IP Issues
Cloudflare will look at the visitor's IP and related indicators, such as IP reputation, IP type, whether it is in the blacklist, historical activities, etc. If the IP used is not credible (such as a data center IP, an abused IP), has conducted harmful activities (such as DDoS attacks, spam sending, malicious logins, etc.), or has been blacklisted by certain data sets, it is easy to trigger Cloudflare restrictions.
2. Browser fingerprint anomaly
Not only IP, but also User-Agent, Cookies, and language will be monitored. If an abnormal browser fingerprint is found, restrictions may be triggered.
3. Access frequency is too high
Frequent access in a short period of time: constantly refreshing pages, quickly submitting forms, collecting website data... These high-frequency access activities are likely to be identified as abnormal behavior by Cloudflare, resulting in restrictions.
4. Cloudflare WAF interception
Cloudflare WAF (Web Application Firewall) is a web application firewall provided by Cloudflare to protect website security and improve website performance. It can identify malicious requests, and website administrators can set up policies such as IP access control and rate limits by themselves, so if the IP or region and device used for access are restricted by the rules, access will also be blocked.
Ⅱ. How to remove Cloudflare restrictions
1. Try again later
Reduce the access frequency, do not perform frequent and quick operations, wait for a while and try again. Many apparent limitations can actually be solved with this simple method.
2. Change browser
It is best to use a mainstream browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.) to access it. It is also best to check the plug-ins. Some plug-ins will change some browser settings and cause Cloudflare restrictions. Try to close some plug-ins that may cause problems.
3. Use Incognito Mode
Use a mainstream browser and use incognito mode. The shortcut keys are Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N; Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N; Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P.
4. Clear the cache
Clear the browser cache and cookies and then revisit the website. The shortcut keys for clearing the cache in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox are the same: Ctrl + Shift + Delete, and the path is similar: Settings - Privacy Module - Clear Browsing Data or Site Data.
5. Contact the website administrator
If the IP address you are using and the region or device to which it belongs are on the banned list set by the website administrator, you can contact the website administrator to apply to have your IP restrictions lifted.
6. Use a real residential proxy
IP and related indicators "not meeting standards" is one of the main reasons for restrictions, so using a residential IP proxy with high security and authenticity for access is often also effective. IPFoxy residential proxy provides dynamic and static different scene selections, which can quickly obtain IPs with high purity, high credibility, and accurate positioning to help with real network access.
Ⅲ. Final Thoughts
There are many possible reasons for Cloudflare restrictions. Check them one by one and choose reliable network tools when necessary. In most cases, the restrictions can be lifted.
